According to Pattern

And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.  --  Exo 25:8 (KJV)

According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.  --  Exo 25:9 (KJV)

And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had showed Moses, so he made the candlestick.  --  Num 8:4 (KJV)

Now Let's Analyze The Layout Of

The Book of Revelation

Everything According to Pattern

Tabernacle

Brazen Altar

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,  --  Rev 1:5 (KJV)

Everything was hidden until the Revelation or Apocalupsis

The Word literally means "The Unveiling"

The Holy Place

The Book of Revelation allows us to go inside of the Holy Place

Candlestick

The First Thing we notice is the Candlestick

And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;  --  Rev 1:12 (KJV)

Well what do the seven candlesticks represent??

The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.  --  Rev 1:20 (KJV)

The Holy Place

As we proceed we see the altar of insense

Altar of Inscence

Now something seems to be missing here so let's add the High Priest

High Priest

Now the altar of inscense would properly have

the high priest interceeding in prayer before it

Altar Of Inscense

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.  --  Heb 7:25 (KJV)

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;  --  Heb 7:26 (KJV)

But does the Book of Revelation show this also?

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.  --  Rev 1:13 (KJV)

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;  --  Rev 1:14 (KJV)

And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.  --  Rev 1:15 (KJV)

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.  --  Rev 1:16 (KJV)

In other words Jesus was standing in the midst of these seven churches Speaking words.  He EVER MAKETH intercession for them

Going pass the altar of insense we would reach the wall.

We cannot see past the wall.

Veil Hiding The Holy Of Holies

The letters to the 7 churches represent the entire Church dispensation from the beginninig to the end.

What we can know about the things of God as concerns the Holy Place

Are revealed by throughout the Seven Church Dispensations.

But we know that there is something more behind the curtain.

We cannot go there ourselves so someone else must go there and report back to us what they saw.

Well the door needs to be opened doesn't it?

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.  --  Rev 3:8 (KJV)

After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.  --  Rev 4:1 (KJV)

Holy Of Holies Behind the Veil

Inside we are able to see the very Glorious Presense Of God

who sits upon the Mercy Seat

( or Throne of God)

Well what do we have in the Book of Revelation?

And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.  --  Rev 4:2 (KJV)

And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.  --  Rev 4:3 (KJV)

And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.  --  Rev 4:4 (KJV)

And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.  --  Rev 4:5 (KJV)

And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.  --  Rev 4:6 (KJV)

Ark of the Covenant

Notice that on either side of the throne where God sat was a Cherub

And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.  --  Rev 4:7 (KJV)

And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.  --  Rev 4:8 (KJV)

And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?  --  Rev 5:2 (KJV)

And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.  --  Rev 5:3 (KJV)

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.  --  Rev 5:4 (KJV)

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.  --  Rev 5:5 (KJV)

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.  --  Rev 5:6 (KJV)

And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.  --  Rev 5:7 (KJV)

As we turn around and head out of the Holy of Holies

we will notice the last item in the tabernacle.

The Holy Place

Table of Shewbread

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.  --  Rev 7:1 (KJV)

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,  --  Rev 7:2 (KJV)

Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.  --  Rev 7:3 (KJV)

And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.  --  Rev 7:4 (KJV)

And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.  --  Rev 8:4 (KJV)
