spiritual gifts: Charismata
Manifested Power Gifts:
Faith, Miracles, and Healings
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren,
I would not have you ignorant. -- 1 Cor 12:1 (KJV)
Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. -- 1 Cor 12:2 (KJV)
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. -- 1 Cor 12:3 (KJV)
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. -- 1 Cor 12:4 (KJV)
And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. -- 1 Cor 12:5 (KJV)
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. -- 1 Cor 12:6 (KJV)

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; -- 1 Cor 12:8 (KJV)
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; -- 1 Cor 12:9 (KJV)

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. -- 1 Cor 12:28 (KJV)
NOTICE HERE. It says that God set
workings of miracles
and
gifts of healings
in the church.
Where does it say that he removed them?
Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? -- 1 Cor 12:29 (KJV)
Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? -- 1 Cor 12:30 (KJV)
But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way. -- 1 Cor 12:31 (KJV)
What the power gifts are NOT !
To another faith by the same Spirit;
NOT The Gift Of Faith ! or simply faith
but
SPECIAL FAITH !
Remember all of us have bible faith
we are saved by it.
This is not regular bible faith.
It is a supernatural manifestation of SPECIAL FAITH.
To another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
NOT
1. A healing brought about through a physician
practicing medicine
NOT
2. A healing brought about as a result of
human learning or mainipulation
NOT
3. A healing brought about as a result of
our own faith receiving the promise of healing.
Remember all of us have bible faith
we are saved by it.
This is not regular bible healing.
This is not walking in Divine Healing.
It is a supernatural manifestation of SPECIAL HEALING.
And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita. -- Acts 28:1 (KJV)
And the barbarous people showed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold. -- Acts 28:2 (KJV)
And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. -- Acts 28:3 (KJV)
And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. -- Acts 28:4 (KJV)
And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. -- Acts 28:5 (KJV)
Paul was walking in Divine Healing.
We all have that promised in the scriptures as part of our salvation.
Psa 103:1
A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. -- Psa 103:1 (KJV)
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: -- Psa 103:2 (KJV)
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; -- Psa 103:3 (KJV)
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; -- Psa 103:4 (KJV)
And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. -- Acts 28:3 (KJV)

Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god. -- Acts 28:6 (KJV)
Paul was walking in Divine Healing.
THIS WAS NOT A SUPERNATURAL GIFT OF HEALING!
How would you like to walk in the faith that Paul excercised? You can !
Acts 10:34
Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: -- Acts 10:34 (KJV)
In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously. -- Acts 28:7 (KJV)
And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him. -- Acts 28:8 (KJV)
#1 Who was with Paul on this journey?
#2 Who wrote the book of Acts?
Luke
#3 What did Luke do for a living ?
Physician
#4 Who do we send to tend to the mission fields of the sick today ?
Physician
#4 Why didn't Luke take care of the sicknesses ?
THE GIFTS OF HEALINGS IS A SUPERNATURAL MANIFESTATION OF GOD'S SPIRIT.
To another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
NOT
1. A healing brought about through a physician
practicing medicine
NOT
2. A healing brought about as a result of
human learning or mainipulation
NOT
3. A healing brought about as a result of
our own faith receiving the promise of healing.
It is a supernatural manifestation of SPECIAL HEALING.
So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed: -- Acts 28:9 (KJV)
THIS WAS A SUPERNATURAL GIFT OF HEALING!
SO WHAT ?
Many take the attitude today that
#1 We do not need supernatural healing today because we have medical doctors.
That is like saying
We do not need the bible today because we have professors and Ph.D.'s
College and Universities did not replace the need for God's Supernatural Power!
If you truly believe that God uses medicine today to heal instead of prophets and the Body of Christ then medicine has become your God.
medicine has become your Hope.
medicine has become your Faith.
Oh people don't you know that the medical profession,
as good as it is,
is all done by natural means.
It is man's way to heal. It is the natural way.
It doesn't take faith at all.
The doctor doesn't need to even be saved.
Did you know that the medical field is filled primarily
by those who major in the sciences,
biology, chemistry, anatomy, etc.
Did you know that most of the science majors
do not believe that the bible is the inspired Word of God?
Did you know that advanced studies in the scientific field
is one of the major curiculums which aim to destroy one's
faith in God and in the supernatural nature of God's Word?
OK , What About Miracles ?
To another the working of miracles
What do we usually mean when we use the word Miracle ?
It has become a figure of speech!
Miracle Fabrics
Miracle Detergents
Miracle Fishing Rod
Miracle no-soak-thru Diapers
Miracle Diet Foods or Plans
How about Miracle Drugs
Miracle Laser Surgery
Miracle Fat Removal
Miracle Kitty Litter
Miracle Pet Pooper Scooper
A Working Of Miracles is NOT any of these !
Oh, isn't the fragrance which comes from the flowers a miracle?
NO, IT IS NOT A MIRACLE !
O,h isn't watching the sun rise like watching a miracle?
NO, IT IS NOT A MIRACLE !
Oh, isn't child birth a miracle?
NO, IT IS NOT A MIRACLE !
ALL of these things are NATURAL ,
THEY ARE NOT MIRACLES
MIRACLES HAVE TO BE SUPER-NATURAL
Yes the way the human anatomy functions is absolutely amazing
but it is not a miracle, it is natural
it works just like it is supposed to
Yes the birth of a baby is simply fantastic
but it is not a miracle, it is natural
it works just like it is supposed to
